Pastor's Class
Yes, there will be a “Pastor’s Sunday School Class” this spring. Thanks to guest Sunday school leader Janice Aldridge, there will be adult Sunday school during Pastor Julie’s maternity leave. On Sundays in May – the 4th, 11th and 18th – we will watch clips from the recent movie Luther, followed by a time of discussion. Class times are 9 and 10 a.m. Join us for a time of learning, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

Faithweaver's
The Faithweavers adult Sunday school class meets in room 8 at 9 a.m. All are welcome to join in this lively, weekly discussion group where we help each other grow in our faith. We use a lectionary Bible study, Daily Discipleship, produced by the ELCA. The lessons help us discover more about being disciples of Jesus Christ and encourage us to explore ways to connect God’s Word to deepen our faith practices in our daily living. Come join us for some fun, fellowship and, of course, food on Sunday mornings! If you have questions, call Karen Lee via the church office.
Thursdays Mornings: Bible study group!
The Thursday a.m. Bible study will meet beginning Thursday, June 5, at 11 a.m. in room 9. We will begin our summer with a study of Jesus' parables. All adults are welcome to join us for fun and inspiring study and discussions.

Midweek Learning Opportunities
Men’s Bible continues with the reading of “Loving Jesus” by Mark Allan Powell – “The essence of spirituality is loving God…” The books are $10 each. We meet every Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in room 8.

The Wednesday Women’s Bible Study Group
In John 10:10 Jesus said, 'I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.'
Our Wednesay morning Women's Bible Study group is currently on hiatus. Ideas for future studies are welcome. Please contact Robin Eggleston via wbs@christthelordlutheran.org if you are interested in signing up for this group and to indicate a need for childcare.
Divorce Care series can be offered at any time, as need arises. This 13 week series uses a video and discussion session to support those experiencing the difficulty of divorce. If you or someone you know is in need of this kind of support, please contact Jeff and Nancy at dc@christthelordlutheran.org . They are open to starting a group at any time.

The dates for the Fall Women’s Retreat are Friday, September 26, through Sunday, September 28, at Unicoi State Park in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. You will not want to miss out on a weekend of fellowship and spiritual growth (Did we mention no men or small children?)

A Marriage Enrichment
Workshop was held November 3,
2006. Led by husband and wife psychologists Morgan and Sylvia Kyle,
this provided an excellent time for couples to strengthen their marriage.
It is a fun, interesting time together (lots of laughter and
conversation). The focus this year is on communication. The cost is
$25 per couple, which includes Friday evening snacks, Saturday continental
breakfast and lunch.
