What's happening in Children's Ministry - April 2008
VBS - Come to SonWorld Adventure Park for the adventure of a lifetime!
We’re excited about Christ the Lord’s Vacation Bible School to be held June 9 through 13. As they participate in fun-filled activities, children will discover important choices everyone must make: Choose to BELIEVE that Jesus is God’s promised Savior, Choose to ACT and care for others, Choose FORGIVENESS from Jesus, Choose to OBEY Jesus even when it’s hard and Choose JESUS as our guide and source of wisdom! We will have a great time with lively songs, hilarious skits, creative crafts, exciting games, Bible stories and tasty snacks — all of the things that make Vacation Bible School so much fun for children. On top of that, we will be helping children learn about life-changing choices! SonWorld Adventure Park can be an inspirational and educational adventure for your entire family.

Volunteers needed: We are looking for a few adults to teach the children about God’s remarkable love. Materials are provided to make the 45 minutes of class time easy to plan. Other daily activities are planned by the various team leaders. Teachers work in teams to provide the children the best possible learning environment. Teachers are needed for first and third grade. One adult is needed to work with the music team. The nursery for our volunteers’ children still needs one adult and two youth. We are also looking for a few youth to assist teachers in the classrooms. For more information or to volunteer please contact Diane Thomas at church 770 963-4499.
Change for a Change
The kids did a
terrific job collecting change during Lent. They collected $118.50, which will
be used to purchase groceries for a family in the community. Even a few cents
can go a long way toward helping others, when we all work together.

Lutheridge Day Camp - only 10 spots remain!
Calling all kids kindergarten – 5th grade!
Lutheridge Day Camp will be held from July 21 through July 25, Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The camp is for children kindergarten through fifth grade, and the cost is $145. You can register at the church on Sundays now through March 17 -- $70 is due at registration and $75 is due on May 1.
