We are so pleased that you have checked out our web-site!  We hope that you have found it to be informative about the many ministries offered at Christ the Lord.  All of the worship services, ministry events and small groups of the congregation are open to members and non-members alike. You are welcome as you are, for as long as you like. 

If you want more information about becoming a member of the congregation, here are some opportunities to get to know us better.

·        Worship with us regularly.  This is the best way to get to know us and a sense of the flavor of the congregation.

·        1^st Sunday ~ 1^st Step.  On the first Sunday of each month, the pastors are available around 12:00 noon in the Sanctuary to visit informally.  Come meet us, hear a bit about the congregation, ask your questions and voice your thoughts.  We’d love to meet you!

·        What Lutherans Believe.  Offered throughout the year, Pastor Terri teaches this class which covers the basics of the Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective, including salvation, interpretation of scripture, worship, the sacraments, Lutheranism, and much, much more.  Go to the Adult Ministry page for the next series of classes.

·        Membership Form:  If you want to become a member, contact Jenny Lanning, Director of New Member Ministries or Jeannie Ostergaard in the church office to get a membership form.  This will enable them to request a letter of transfer if you are currently a member of another congregation.  If you have not been a member of another congregation, you will join Christ the Lord by "Affirmation of Faith" -- the rite everyone will use at the New Member Luncheon.

·        New Member Orientation/ Luncheon.  This event takes place quarterly and celebrates your presence with us as a new member.  Following a brief orientation, we use an abridged "Affirmation of Baptism" service to formally welcome you to the congregation.  This is followed by a luncheon provided by our Welcome Team.  Watch the church bulletin for the date of our next New Member Luncheon or contact Jenny via jl@christthelordlutheran.org.
